Job Description & Duties:

From 2017-2018, I worked for Pine Forest UMC as a part-time Media Tech, making and running the contemporary service media presentation and editing the service videos for the TV station. They later added sermon notes page design. I took the initiative to add a section to their WordPress website for the videos (hosted on YouTube) and to post the announcement slides from the presentation on their Facebook page to help push them toward building their online presence. My service ignited this push, which they continued to develop after I resigned.

Contemporary Service Presentation:

I created a multimedia presentation for the contemporary service using PowerPoint and the ShareFaith Presenter PowerPoint plugin. I also practiced with the praise team before the service and ran the presentation from the media booth on Sunday mornings. I used graphics and video from ShareFaith and stock images, and I used Photoshop to create my own custom slides.

NOTE: The following files are PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) files that include multimedia elements created with the ShareFaith Presenter PowerPoint plugin. Download and watch the presentation locally on your computer for the best experience. The multimedia portions of the presentation do not function while viewing through Dropbox or other online viewers and may not function properly without the ShareFaith plugin. Fonts may not display properly if not installed locally.

Video Editing:

I edited videos of Sunday morning services to be broadcast on the local TV station. We alternated the contemporary and traditional services each week. I used the church’s Edius video editing software. The TV station needed a video file created for their specifications that was exactly one hour long. The church wanted simple editing and expected basic information displayed about the service and church at the beginning of the video (in the format shown below) and did not want any video cut from the meeting and greeting portion of the service.

Sermon Notes:

I created sermon notes pages that were inserted into the Sunday service bulletins to encourage note-taking. The following gallery includes some examples.
